Standing just off the main A2 Belfast to Bangor Road, the George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD) can be found on the south shore of the Belfast Lough. The A2 has good connections with Northern Ireland's motorway network, which is well linked to the Republic of Ireland.

Close to Belfast City Airport, the Herdman Channel, Victoria Channel and Musgrave Channel all lie to the west, close to Victoria Park. On the opposite side of the complex and across from the A2 (Sydenham Bypass), Redburn Country Park is a popular spot.
